Hey, sweet friends!
Can I just say how excited I am to kick off this blog with you? I’ve been praying about what to share first, and God kept nudging me toward something we all wrestle with: trusting Him when life feels like a whirlwind. So, here we are—grabbing our coffee mugs and digging into a little faith chat!
Lately, I’ve been reading Proverbs 3:5-6—you know, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” It’s one of those verses I’ve got hidden in my heart, but living it out? Whew, that’s a whole different story. Between juggling work, family, and the endless to-do list, I catch myself trying to figure it all out on my own. Anyone else guilty of that?
The other week, I had one of those days. Visiting my aging parents, it is evident that my parents will begin needing more attention and care, and I found myself just staring at their amazingly loving faces trying to memorize every smile or worry line and remember every word of advice they have ever given, all while we were busy making dinner for the 6 of us! I was ready to just break down in worry and cry. But then, in the middle of the chaos, I felt this gentle whisper: “I’ve got this.” Not me, but Him. I took a deep breath, and remembered it is in his strength alone which also reminded me of (Hold on to me by Elevation Worship) and handed it over to God. Did I stop trying to memorize each of my parents faces? Nope. But my heart settled, and somehow, the day didn’t feel so heavy anymore.
That’s what I’m learning, friends—trust isn’t about everything going perfectly. It’s about knowing He’s there, weaving something beautiful even in the mess. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us to bring it all to Him in prayer, and He’ll swap our anxiety for peace. I’m clinging to that promise, and I hope you will too.
So, here’s my challenge for us this week: let’s pick one thing we’re stressing over and intentionally give it to God. Maybe jot it down in a journal and pray over it. Then watch how He shows up. I’d love to hear how it goes—drop a comment or tag me on X (@cmgrafmiller)!
